There isn’t any miracle in Europe; we are on the way to hell

“France started to develop very fast in the 19 th century, around the 1830’s. Using mostly coal, many big factories were built. They created a lot of new items, from trains to cars, and much electronic stuff. During one century the country had a very good economy, development was large and fast. It was a mega physical development. Many new jobs were created in the factories and a lot of people left the countryside to go working in cities. Workers never had so much money before, with this money they bought new items symbols of ‘modern life’ (cars, fridges, houses, washing machines….). Economy was very good; it was a rich period for the country.

After the Second World War, development stopped and the economy became very weak. All people, who were living before in rural areas had a family house, were farming and had knowledge. They were able to feed themself and had most of what they needed. When they went to work in factories in the cities they left all that, and became dependent of city life. After the war, it was very hard to find a job, no more money, situation became very difficult.

Before, we had thousands and thousands of little farms in the country. Nowadays, most people don’t know farming anymore. Few big companies are owning and controlling agriculture. To be able to feed so much people, they do monoculture, and use a lot of chemicals and pesticides to make the vegetables grow bigger and faster. All this damage nature, pollute water, air and soil and our bodies.

The situation now is very bad. We have a lot of unemployment, people are dependent from technologies and become sick with pollution .There are new diseases appearing, many cancers we didn’t had before.

Despite of this bad situation, the country continues on the way of ‘development’. Why?
Because big companies became so rich and so powerful, they can decide where and when they want to develop projects, even if these projects are not good for people or for nature. With power of money, they became more powerful than countries and government, and they control the worlds market. They respect neither people nor earth, but no one can stop them….

So what can we do?

The only solution is to become independent from these big companies…
That means recovering knowledge from the elders, being able to farm in a respectful way…
Most of all we have to understand we don’t need so much to live and be happy. Everyone should think about what he really need in life…
We must learn to work and live together!
We must respect Mother Earth and understand she is feeding and hosting us, she ‘is not belonging to us, but we are belonging to her!
The choices we make today will have an impact for our children and grandchildren!

So be responsible because YOU write the future!
The change will come from your generation!
